What is a development proposal in the formulation library?

The EVAS formulation library presents ideas to start a conversation about product development. Together, we can review target customers, sensory experience and ingredient direction, then refine the conditions to fit your brand. A published development proposal does not itself mean a production-confirmed formula or a product with completed efficacy testing.

Turn an idea into product goals

For a cleansing balm, for example, development goals might include the desired massage feel, changes when water is added and the sensation after rinsing. Considering the brand’s price range, usage occasions and container direction together makes the comparison criteria clearer.

Distinguish ingredient candidates from the final formula

Ingredients at the planning stage are candidates for review. Their actual use and concentrations are determined after reviewing the formula, sensory experience, ingredient supply information and target product conditions. General information about an ingredient must also be distinguished from results verified in the finished product.

Agree on what to evaluate in samples

Once the development direction is organized, agree on what to compare through samples. Gather feedback on sensory experience, fragrance and the container’s user experience, then prioritize adjustments. The scope of sample provision, costs and schedule are confirmed according to the project conditions.

Confirm production conditions and public-facing wording

Review product and packaging conditions, necessary checks, production quantities and schedules. Test figures and specific functional statements are prepared after checking the actual evidence; planning copy does not automatically become the product’s confirmed description.
