Build the first K-beauty assortment from the customer, the channel, the body area or problem and situation, and the role in a routine. A product with an empty field is not automatically dropped from the first assortment. Start the consultation with the fields you can fill, and keep empty fields as questions on hold. Whether supply is available, whether stock exists, and whether certification or registration documents exist and what they cover are items to confirm. Do not leave that confirmation until every path is locked. MOQ, unit price and lead time are agreed based on project requirements, separately from those checks. The same business can run branded finished-product sourcing and own-brand development in parallel. Distinguish the path on each row, and record the confirmation items that path needs.
This guide is for importers, distributors and retailers choosing a first assortment. It does not generalize demand or rules for any one country. A brand owner creating a product under their own name is a secondary reader. Mark that interest as an own-brand development path in the table.
1. Whose buying decision is this?
Decide the type of purchase before the number of SKUs.
For an importer, distributor or retailer, the decision is which existing branded finished products can fill a role for their customer and channel. For a brand owner, the decision is what to develop under their own name, or what to manufacture to specifications they already have. The two decisions ask for different documents next. The same business can pursue both. When it does, do not collapse them into one undifferentiated sentence. Mark the path and the confirmation items on each row.
Whether one sales country or several are under review, this guide does not judge that country's demand or registration requirements. Country and channel are inputs you record while building the table, so supply fit can be checked. Do not leave that check until the assortment is finished.
2. How do you sort products by customer, channel, situation and routine role?
Write the fields you know on each row. An empty field does not automatically drop that product from the first assortment. Keep the empty field as a question on hold, and start the consultation with the information you can fill.
- Customer: who buys. You may name an observable range, such as store visitors or online repurchase customers. If you have not observed that range yet, you may label a customer hypothesis as a hypothesis. Do not present a hypothesis as completed customer research or a real quotation.
- Channel: where the sale happens, such as a specialty shop, drugstore, own online shop or marketplace.
- Body area, problem or situation: face, hair or body, and the discomfort or moment of use.
- Routine role: whether the product replaces an existing step or adds one step.
An ingredient name does not replace these four fields. The same moisturizing story is a different product in the first leave-on step after cleansing and in a body step after a shower.
The examples below show the selection method. All three examples are assumptions for explanation. They are not evidence of product efficacy or sales results. The customer items are hypotheses, not customer research or quotations. They are not an EVAS item list, stock position, supplied country, price or exclusive right.
Explanatory example 1. Evening face care
- Customer: Store visitors who ask about evening face care. Explanatory hypothesis
- Channel: Offline specialty shop
- Body area, problem, situation: Evening, face feels tight right after cleansing
- Product category and routine role: One face serum. An added leave-on step after evening cleansing. It does not replace the existing cream, and a step before cream is not a required routine
- Path: Branded finished-product sourcing
- Confirm / negotiate: Confirm availability in the sales country, stock, and whether certification or registration documents exist and what they cover. Negotiate MOQ, unit price and lead time
Explanatory example 2. Hair right after shampoo
- Customer: Customers who repurchase hair products from the retailer's own shop. Explanatory hypothesis
- Channel: Own online shop
- Body area, problem, situation: Dryness right after shampoo, while the hair is not yet fully dried. This does not mean fully dried hair
- Product category and routine role: One leave-on hair treatment. Added after shampoo and before the hair is fully dried. It does not replace the shampoo
- Path: Branded finished-product sourcing
- Confirm / negotiate: Confirm availability in the sales country, stock, and whether certification or registration documents exist and what they cover. Negotiate MOQ, unit price and lead time
Explanatory example 3. Body cleansing in a daily shower
- Customer: Existing buyers of the buyer's own brand. Explanatory hypothesis
- Channel: Own online shop
- Body area, problem, situation: Body cleansing during a daily shower
- Product category and routine role: One rinse-off body wash. Within the same body routine, it replaces the current body-cleansing step
- Path: Own-brand development
- Confirm / negotiate: Confirm whether that specification can be developed, and whether documents for the sales country exist and what they cover. Negotiate MOQ, unit price and lead time
If a field is empty or the role is still weak, do not drop the row immediately. Keep it as a question to confirm.
- A trending ingredient with no routine role yet. Ask whether a role can be named. If it cannot, hold the row for review.
- A featured product whose channel customer is not yet named. You can consult if the customer is labeled as a hypothesis. Do not present it as research.
- A product added only because a brand is introduced on a page. An introduction is not confirmed supply, so record availability as an item to confirm.
The public brands page introduces representative brands across skin, hair and body. An introduction is not availability in every country and channel.
These product-group examples were confirmed on both domains on 18 October 2026. Face is Fraijour's key product groups, hair is CeraClinic's key product groups, and an assortment spanning hair and body is Pedison's key product groups. On each of those pages, Fraijour's selected-product comparison, CeraClinic's selected-product comparison and Pedison's selected-product comparison are examples chosen from products publicly listed for sale in Korea. Sizes and directions summarize the linked official-store listings. Usage occasions are assortment suggestions, not efficacy or sales claims. Confirm supply SKUs, sizes, stock, market availability and current labels during consultation. English names are descriptive translations; export-label names require confirmation. MOQ, unit price and lead time are agreed based on project requirements. The three examples above illustrate the selection method. They are not the actual items on these public pages.
3. How do you distinguish branded finished-product sourcing and own-brand development in one table?
Branded finished-product sourcing is a consultation about supplying EVAS branded finished products for the countries and channels where you sell. Own-brand development is the path for making a new product under your brand, or manufacturing to specifications you already have. The same business can run both paths in parallel. Keep them in one table, but mark the path on each row and record the confirmation items that path needs. If a row does not mark the path, a supply check and a new development project are no longer distinct.
Record availability and whether documents exist as questions while you fill the table. Do not leave those questions until the path is locked. MOQ, unit price and lead time are agreed based on project requirements, separately from those checks.
The entrance for branded finished-product sourcing is what to review when selecting Fraijour products. CeraClinic and Pedison have the same section. The entrance for own-brand development is OEM and ODM consultation. Placing the two entrances side by side does not stop the same business from running both paths.
Branded finished-product sourcing reviews an existing SKU against current supply criteria. A request to change that SKU is discussed separately as a question of development feasibility.
Scroll horizontally to see all columns when the table is wider than your screen.
| Item | Branded finished-product sourcing | Own-brand development |
|---|---|---|
| What you choose now | One product category among existing branded products, for the customer, channel, moment of use and routine role | One product category to develop under your brand, or to manufacture to specifications you already have, and its role |
| What to confirm while building the table | Availability for the sales country and channel, stock, and whether certification or registration documents exist and what they cover | Whether that specification can be developed, and whether documents for the sales country exist and what they cover |
| Agreed based on project requirements | MOQ, unit price, lead time | MOQ, unit price, lead time |
| Documents to request next | Product information, directions, and the language and channel scope of materials for the selected items | The decision fields in a product brief, reference products, and the direction for volume and primary packaging |
| What this guide does not promise | Country supply, stock, MOQ, unit price, lead time, exclusivity, or a bundle of certification documents | A fixed quantity, price, week count, free samples, or approval in every market |
For how registration and records change when you choose a manufacturing route in Korea, read the OEM, ODM and brand sourcing guide. That article explains types of business. It does not give a table for choosing a first assortment. For which Korean provisions drop out of an export-only product, read the export-only cosmetics guide. That exception does not replace the rules of the buying country.
When it is time to compare quantities, first name the unit the minimum order is counted in. The small-batch and MOQ guide explains that step. For an own-brand development row, record the decision fields in the product brief guide. After quotations arrive, align included, separate and unresolved items in the quotation comparison guide. The path comparison table in this guide comes before those steps.
4. What goes in the first request, and what stays blank?
When branded finished-product sourcing is the main purpose, send this first. If some rows are own-brand development interests, describe them in the same message and keep them distinct.
- Customer and channel
- Body area, problem or situation, and when it is used
- One product category, and whether the routine role replaces a step or adds one
- Brands or categories of interest. Leave this blank if you do not have them, and mark that it is blank.
- Language and channel of the materials you need
- Sales countries under review. List each one.
- The path of the main purpose. If another path is also of interest, keep those rows distinct in the same message.
Do not treat numbers or availability as confirmed in the first message. A blank is not availability or inclusion.
Ask to confirm these items.
- Countries and channels where supply is possible
- Stock and packing unit
- Whether certification or registration documents exist, and what they cover
Leave these to be agreed based on project requirements.
- MOQ, unit price and lead time
This guide does not judge or promise these items.
- Exclusive rights
- Fitness for the buying country's registration requirements
- Unpublished products and internal development cases
EVAS agrees MOQ, unit price and lead time based on project requirements. Availability, stock and whether documents exist are items to confirm. The examples in this guide do not answer those questions.
The same distinction appears on the public pages. On 18 October 2026, the product-selection criteria for Fraijour, CeraClinic and Pedison said that product materials and supply conditions are reviewed, and that pricing, minimum order quantities, distribution rights and schedules are discussed separately. When asking about own-brand development, also read the first production consultation conditions. That table separates what to share from what is reviewed together in a development consultation. It does not replace this guide's finished-product supply checks.
An example request is below.
We are choosing a first product assortment. The attached table lists the customer, channel, body area and situation, product category, routine role and path. The main purpose of this consultation is branded finished-product sourcing. Rows that interest us for own-brand development are marked separately in the same message. We are asking you to confirm availability, stock, and whether certification or registration documents exist and what they cover. MOQ, unit price and lead time are left to be agreed based on project requirements. Please separate what can be checked now from what cannot be checked yet.
5. What does the public page state, and what does it not state?
On 18 October 2026, the questions before finished-product sourcing said that the page introduces representative brands, and that available SKUs, inventory, country and channel coverage, and commercial terms are confirmed during consultation. It also said that MOQ, unit price and lead time are agreed per case, and that public listings do not confirm stock or delivery dates. The scope of materials is confirmed in consultation. Documentation for every market's registration or certification is not automatically included.
Those sentences are published consultation conditions. They do not mean stock is available in a particular buyer's country, or that a listed brand fits that channel.
Next step
You can start a consultation even if the four fields are not all filled. Send the cells you can complete, and write empty cells as questions to confirm. Choose the consultation type that matches the main purpose, and describe any other path of interest in the same message.
If the main purpose is branded finished-product sourcing, read what to check before sourcing finished products and send the table through brand sourcing consultation, with that type selected. If some rows are own-brand development interests, describe them in the same message and keep them distinct.
If the main purpose is own-brand development, read the first production consultation conditions and send the table through OEM and ODM consultation, with ODM selected. If some rows are branded finished-product sourcing interests, describe them in the same message and keep them distinct.
The consultation page is one page. Only the selected type changes.
