This evaluation field connects ingredient review with product development goals. The previous official research overview listed cell culture and in-vitro screening, solar simulator-based sun protection research, and HPLC and UV/Vis ingredient analysis.

This field examines formulations and packaging together to help a good formulation become a finished product. It covers raw material and packaging tests, formulation–container compatibility, and stability and safety data for bulk and finished products.

Final formulas, ingredient–container combinations and production conditions are reviewed individually. Applicable testing, reporting and review requirements for functional cosmetics, and category-specific standards for perfume and home fragrance, are confirmed for each project.

These terms describe research approaches. They do not indicate any specific product’s efficacy, test results or certification.
Drug Delivery System. A system for delivering active ingredients, presented here as a formulation research term.
Nanotechnology. Technology concerned with nanoscale sizes and structures, listed in the previous skincare research overview.
Multilamellar Vesicle. A vesicle with multiple layers, a term related to formulation structures that hold ingredients.
High-performance liquid chromatography. A method for separating and analyzing the components of a mixture.
An analytical method that measures properties such as a substance’s absorption of ultraviolet and visible light.
BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP

Start with the product category, intended users and occasions, desired texture and fragrance, and what you like or would change about a reference product. These help define formulation direction and sample comparison criteria. Including an ingredient alone does not establish finished-product efficacy.
Writing a development briefCompare samples using the same amount and application order, and describe specific aspects such as spreadability, fragrance strength and after-feel. Separate what works from what needs adjustment and designate a feedback contact. Sample rounds, revision scope and costs are agreed for each project.
Sample comparison and feedback guideThe research overview does not mean that every product undergoes every listed test. Required evaluations, currently available scope and supporting documents are reviewed for the product goals, formulation, packaging and sales markets. Test results and certification status must be supported by records for the relevant product.
Confirming product specificationsShare the product category, reference products, desired size and quantity, sales markets and channels, and target launch date. Undecided items can remain open. Existing formulas, artwork and containers can be reviewed together; MOQ, unit price and lead time are agreed per project.
