HOW WE DEVELOP

From an idea
to a product.

From the brief to formulation, samples, specifications and production.
We work with you to define the materials to prepare
and the decisions to make at each of five stages.

Questions about your product,
turned into clear criteria, one by one.

Reviewing samples at a research table

01THE BRIEF

Customers and product goals

Who will use the product, and when?

We define target customers, sales channels, price range and usage occasions. If you have a reference product, we identify what you like and what you would change to clarify the product goals.

Criteria we decide together

Agreement on the core product experience and priorities

Helpful materials to prepare
Brand introduction, reference products, desired items and launch timing. Undecided details can be worked out together during consultation.
What we define at this stage
Development brief · Priority products for review · Service scope
Assessing cream texture with a tool

02THE FORMULA

Formulation and fragrance direction

What should the product feel like, even when its purpose is the same?

We select a product format, such as balm, gel or cream, and review spreadability, flow, foam, finish and fragrance direction. Concepts in the formulation library can also provide a starting point.

Criteria we decide together

Agreement on what to assess in samples and how to compare them

Helpful materials to prepare
Desired feel and fragrance, preferred or excluded ingredients, packaging ideas and formulation codes under consideration.
What we define at this stage
Formulation direction · Ingredient review items · Sample development requirements
Samples and tools for comparing texture and sensory feel

03THE SAMPLE

Sample comparison and refinement

Does the sample deliver the feel you want?

We compare samples under the same conditions and organize feedback. Sensory descriptions are translated into specific review points, such as viscosity, fragrance intensity and residual feel, for the next sample.

Criteria we decide together

Distinguishing the final sample from items needing further checks

Helpful materials to prepare
Amount and order of use for each sample, what worked and what needs adjustment, and the person responsible for internal review.
What we define at this stage
Sample feedback · Refinement direction · Formulation approval criteria
A study of container and carton colors and shapes

04THE DETAILS

Containers, design and product specifications

Have the contents, container and design been reviewed together?

We review the combination of contents and container, capacity, design and labeling. We identify documentation to check for the intended countries and channels, then discuss quantities, quotations, schedules and responsibilities.

Criteria we decide together

Agreement on specifications and approval documents to finalize before production

Helpful materials to prepare
Preferred capacity and containers, design materials, sales countries and channels, and estimated order quantity.
What we define at this stage
Product specifications · Design and packaging review · Quotation and schedule
Containers arranged along a cosmetics production process

05THE PRODUCT

Production, inspection and delivery

On what terms will the finalized product be supplied?

We define the scope of production, inspection and dispatch according to the agreed specifications and schedule. If product photography or sales materials are needed, we also confirm their production scope.

Criteria we decide together

Confirmation of dispatch criteria and supply terms

Helpful materials to prepare
Final specifications and approval documents, delivery dates and locations, and packing and dispatch requests.
What we define at this stage
Production and inspection criteria · Delivery terms · Required product materials
Skincare and makeup products with varied textures and containers

BEFORE WE MEET

A single reference product
is enough to start a conversation.

A product category, target customer and one reference product: you do not need a finished brief. Your preferred quantity and launch date help us identify the requirements to review.

If you have already selected a formulation, include its code. We can compare what you like with what you would like to change as we discuss your project.

This process is a development guide for consultation. The scope of each stage, number of samples, required documentation, costs and schedule are agreed according to the product and project requirements.

Tell us what you
want to create.

Product category, references, target quantity and launch timing.
We’ll discuss the development scope based on your brief.
